Ichiro Suzuki
Ichiro Suzuki is a major league baseball player for the Seattle Mariners. His primary position was rightfield, but in 2007 he started playing center field. In mid-2008 he moved back to right dield. His rookie year was in 2001. In 2001 he won the Rookie of the year award and the American League MVP award. He has recorded the most hits in Mariners history passing Edgar Martinez on April 2, 2011. He has the major league record for most consecutive 200 hit seasons with ten. He is tied with Pete Rose for most all-time 200 hit seasons. He has been a starter for the American League All-Star team every except 2005 when he was a reserve player for the team. In 2001, 2007, and 2009 he has the American League Silver Slugger award for outfield.
